George Meyer has been the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation since 2003. He spent 32 years at Wisconsin DNR, 20 of which were in senior management, including staff attorney, dealing with numerous controversial public policy issues. 

His career at DNR culminated in appointment to DNR secretary. He taught conservation and environmental policy at Lawrence University for two years. He is a 2018 inductee in the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame.
